InsideTennessee's Hot Board

It's summertime at Rocky Top, and recruiting is heating up. One position that is a priority for the new Vol coaching staff is quarterback. Go "Inside" to get a look at our newly introduced Recruiting Hot Board. This board will give you our thoughts at each position, even what we think the Vols' chances are in landing some top targets.

6-foot-4, 200-pounds
Northwestern High School, Rock Hill, South Carolina

The Basics:Worley has been thought of as the Vols No. 1 QB on their board for some time. The question now is if interest is waning from one side or the other or both.

Offer List: Arizona State, East Carolina, Florida, Florida State, Tennessee, Kentucky, LSU, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Texas Tech, and Stanford

The Inside Take on stock rising or falling: We at one time thought Worley was a sure bet, now we are not so sure. Stock seems to be dropping some, though not sure of the reason. It could be Notre Dame and Florida State making a move on the talented QB.

Percent chance of signing with UT:60%

How many QBs will Tennessee sign?: One for sure, possibly two.

Final Comments: Look for Worley to make a final decision before his senior season begins. There is a chance he could be an early enrollee, and he has stated it depends on who he signs with and the QB situation

Jacoby Brissett
6-foot-4, 225-pounds
William T. Dyer High School, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

The Basics: Brissett took a visit to Knoxville earlier this month and appears to have fallen in love with the campus and the new Vol coaching staff. It also appears that the feelings are mutual. Brissett fits UT's offensive plans and gives the Vols an athletic option at the signal caller position.

Offer List: Boston College, Tennessee, Florida State, FIU, Louisville, LSU, Rutgers, South Carolina, North Carolina, South Florida, Texas A&M, West Virginia, Wisconsin.

The Inside Take on stock rising or falling:Brissett's stock appears to be rising. The question will be will he take his official visits before making a final decision? His visit to Knoxville appears to have gone better than expected.

Percent chance of Signing with UT:55

Final Comments: It appears that it will be a battle among Tennessee, LSU and perhaps Florida State. Louisville could be the darkhorse in this race with new offers coming in every day. It appears that he will take his official visits before making a decision and appears to be in no extreme hurry to make a commitment.

Phillip Ely
6-foot-1, 190-pounds
Plant Senior High, Tampa Florida

The Basics:Ely has appeared on the Vols' radar recently and it appears his stock is rising as he recently received an offer from UT. A quarterback that is known for having a big arm, he has some impressive offers.

Offer List: Arizona State, Tennessee, Clemson, FIU, Florida Atlantic, Iowa State, LSU, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Rutgers, South Florida, Wake Forest, Central Florida and Vanderbilt.

The Inside Take on stock rising or falling: It appears to be rising. The Florida signal caller is coming on strong and may end up in Knoxville before all is said and done. Percent chance of signing with UT: 50

Final comments: Ely appears to have enjoyed his trip to Rocky Top. Tennessee is one of his premier offers. Look for this race to come down among Tennessee, Clemson and Ole Miss.

Stephen Rivers
6-foot-6, 200-pounds
Athens High School, Athens, Alabama

The Basics: Rivers has apparently had an offer from Tennessee for a long time, but while there is an offer there appears not to be a lot of activity between Rivers and Tennessee.

Offer List: Florida State, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Arizona State, Kentucky, Ole Miss, North Carolina State, Stanford, and UCLA.

The Inside Take on stock rising or falling: Rivers' stock appears to be falling. Either that or it's the best kept secret in this area.

Percent chance of signing with UT:30

Final Comments: Expect Rivers to go somewhere other than Rocky Top. Not sure of the reason, but there doesn't seem to have been a lot of interaction between the two.
