Alabama defensive lineman likes Vols

One Gadsen City High School prospect appears to like another SEC school, one that rivals the Crimson Tide. Defensive tackle Jakari Kinnie confirmed with InsideTennessee.com that he recently camped at Tennessee and the Vols are definitely a team that he likes a lot. Gadsen City, Alabama, has produced a lot of D 1 talent and can be considered a pipeline for the University of Alabama.

One Gadsen City High School prospect appears to like another SEC school, one that rivals the Crimson Tide.

Defensive tackle Jakari Kinnie confirmed with InsideTennessee.com that he recently camped at Tennessee, and the Vols are definitely a team that he likes a lot.

"I just love Tennessee," Kinnie said. "I had a great time camping there. I love everything about the Vols."

Kinnie currently has offers from Memphis, Kentucky, Western Kentucky and Louisiana Tech.

The standout defender measures in at 6 foot 2 and 340 pounds. Kinnie feels an official offer from Tennessee could be on its way.

"I think I have a verbal offer from them but I'm not sure," Kinnie explained. "I'm hoping for an official offer. If it comes, I might commit on the spot."

Vols defensive line coach Chuck Smith has made an impression on Kinnie.

"Coach Smith is good people," Kinnie said. "I love the way he teaches the game. I would love playing for him."
