For one Memphis athlete Wednesday was a very busy day.
Memphis Melrose's Tino Thomas spent the day preparing for an upcoming game and answering the telephone.
Wednesday marked the first day that college coaches could call this fall's senior class and Thomas wasn't the exception.
Who was the first school to call?
"Memphis called early this morning," Thomas said. "I just got off the phone with Coach (Derek) Dooley at Tennessee. They called me this evening."
It's no secret that Thomas, who has already been offered by the Vols, has Tennessee as one of his top favorites.
"I'm going up there for an unofficial visit for the Oregon game," Thomas said. "They are definitely one of my top schools."
When does Thomas planning on pulling the trigger for the school of his choice?
"Probably sometime mid-season," Thomas said. "I just want to make sure I'm making the right decision."
According to Thomas, Tennessee is recruiting him to play corner.
