Okie St edges Aggies 38-35

Texas A&M used a strong first half defensive performance to build a 21-7 halftime lead over Oklahoma St. The Cowboys scored 28 unanswered to take a 35-21 lead. The Aggies scored two fourth quarter TDs to tie the game. The Aggies were driving for a win but Oklahoma St intercepted an Aggie pass to set up a last-second 40-yard field goal to pull out a 38-35 win over Texas A&M.

The Aggies were driving for a win but Oklahoma St intercepted an Jerrod Johnson pass to set up a last-second 40-yard field goal to give Oklahoma St a 38-35 win over Texas A&M.

Texas A&M quarternack Jerrod Johnson completed 60 of 62 passes for 409 yards and 5 TDs, but threw four interceptions and had a fumble returned for an Oklahoma St touchdown.

Oklahoma St quarterback Brandon Weeden survived a shaky first half to completed 28 of 42 passes for 284 yards and 2 TDs with 2 INTs, leading three third quarter TD drives for the Cowboys

Texas A&M had a strong first half defensive performance, forcing 3 turnovers and holding Oklahoma St to just 112 first half yards, most of that coming on Oklahoma St's final drive of the half, as the Aggies took a 21-7 halftime lead.

But Oklahoma St built on that one first half drive to mount three third quarter TD drives of 73, 71, and 48 yards.

James Thomas returned a Jerrod Johnson fumble 63 yards for Oklahoma St to give the Cowboys a 14-point lead, 35-21, early in the fourth quarter.

The Aggies came back to tie the came on two 80-yard fourth quarter drives, with Jerrod Johnson throwing TD passes for Kenric McNeal and Ryan Swope.

After forcing an Oklahoma St punt, the Aggies looked to be driving for a winning score when a Jerrod Johnson pass was intercepted by Oklahoma St freshman linebacker Shaun Lewis and returned to the Aggie 40-yard line.

Three plays later Oklahoma St kicker Dan Bailey kicked a 40-yard field goal on the last play of the game to give the Cowboys a 38-35 win over Texas A&M
