Websider Prognostication Panel - NU

The Aggie Websider prognostication panel is flying as high as the football team on their four-game win streak. The panel is on a roll so Texas A&M fans better pay attention to what these experts have to say. Which way will the panel go? Will they stick with the white hot Aggies at home, or pick the Top 10 Huskers?

The Aggies again start slow in another tough game. NU will bring the house against Ryan Tannehill and the pressure will rattle the cage in the first quarter for a somewhat unproductive quarter. The Aggie offense will become more wide open in the second quarter trying to deal with the speed and aggressiveness of the Huskers.

The defense will play well the entire game to keep the Aggies in the game. Don't be surprised to find your Aggies behind in the 3rd Quarter but they will continue to wear down the Huskers and take control and win this game in the fourth quarter. The big surprise to those watching is the Aggies will run the ball more than any game this season in order to free up the passing game.

How about another big win at Kyle Field in 2010. Gig'em Aggies

NU has good numbers against the pass but they can also get gashed with the run (#63) against the rush and gave a horrid UT outfit 200+ on the ground). I see Sherman calling a great game and keeping Pelini off balance and one step behind. Look for lots of draws and hitting them up the gut as they try pressuring our passing game. That coupled with our hurry up bodes well in wearing them down. Unlike Baylor, Nebraska's pass offense allows a talented A&M defense to stack for the run and use team speed to corral Martinez. The 12th Man does the rest as the Aggies grind it out against the Huskers in a good one.

I think the Aggies' luck has been much higher this year than in years past and they are due for a letdown, but I don't think that is coming this week in front of the record-setting crowd. The Ags will make a late push in the fourth quarter to clinch the victory in an up and down game.

The only Big 12 offense comparable to what the Cornhuskers have faced is Oklahoma State and the Cowboys gashed the Black Shirts for nearly 500 yards and 41 points. As long as the Aggies don't turn the ball over, they will have success offensively. The key match-up will be the Texas A&M defense against Taylor Martinez, and he's not 100%. Despite what the numbers say, the Aggies have very capable cornerbacks. The stats are skewed because of the many spread offenses they've faced. The Cornhuskers aren't as dynamic in the passing game. The defense will bend, but won't break in the red zone and will force three field goals.
