The margin was still eight, 17-9, at the 9:12 mark in the first half before Baylor went on am 11-2 run to open up a 17-point lead, 28-11, with 2:29 to go in the first half.
Baylor took a 30-17 lead into halftime.
Baylor extended their lead to nineteen, 41-22, at the 15:44 mark in the second half.
A 3-pointer by Elston Turner pulled Texas A&M back to within eleven, 47-36, with 9:38 left in the game.
Baylor extended their lead to fifteen and held thay margin with 5:39 left in the game.
Texas A&M came back to within nine, 59-50, with 1:57 to play before Baylor cruised to a 61-52 win over the Aggies.
Baylor had four players score in double figures, led by center Perry Jones who had 14 points and 12 rebounds. Quincy Acy added 13 points, Quincy Miller 11 points, and A.J. Walton 10 points.
Texas A&M was led by Elston Turner who had 21 points. Khris Middleton added 14 points and David Loubeau 8 points. The Aggies only got 2 points from their bench.
Texas A&M shot just 28% for the game and was outrebounded by Baylor, 38-31.
Texas A&M (9-4, 0-1 Big 12) will host Iowa State (10-3, 0-0 Bigt 12) on Saturday afternoon at 4 pm.
Baylor (14-0, 1-0 Big 12) remains undefeated and will travel to Lubbock to face Texas Tech (7-5, 0-0 Big 12) on Saturday afternoon.
