At the studios of KDFW Fox 4 in Dallas, Euless Trinity defensive end Polo Manukainiu was set to make his college choice Sunday night surrounded by his extended family. Earlier in the day, Manukainiu returned from his last official visit to Texas A&M. With four hats representing Utah, Arkansas, Baylor, and Texas A&M in front of him, he first eliminated the Utes followed by the Razorbacks leaving the Baylor Bears and The Texas Aggies as his two finalists.
Manukainiu then reached for the Texas A&M cap and said, "I am playing in the SEC" and secured the cap on his head.
When the Fox 4 news anchor asked the 6-foot-6, 255-pound defensive end why he chose the Aggies, he said, "I love the traditions and fanbase. I'll be playing in the SEC."
Manukainui becomes the twenty-first member of the Aggies' 2012 class and he fills a critical need on the defensive line. The Aggie Websider will have more on Texas A&M's latest commitment shortly.
