Cedar Hill WR Picks Aggies

The Texas A&M coaching staff struck twice on Thursday landing a pair of Cedar Hill prospects. Aggie Websider's David Sandhop spoke to WR Quincy Adeboyejo about his sudden decision to verbally commit to the Aggies.

Cedar Hill wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo doesn't mess around with the recruiting process. While some prospects take a year or longer to make a decision, the 6-foot-3, 179-pound speed receiver took about an hour to make his .

"Coach Beatty at Texas A&M said last week they may offer me so I was talking to Quiv (Laquivionte Gonzalez) about it," Adeboyejo said. "We are close and want to play together so when I got the offer today, I looked at him and we both smiled and decided to commit together."

Adeboyejo is just now hitting the recruiting radar with a head-turning performance at the Next Level Athlete Combine. He plays in a run-oriented offense and only caught six passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns. But his coach told him his athletic ability would come through and that's what happened.

"I was concerned at first that my numbers would hurt me in recruiting," Adeboyejo said. "But my coach said colleges know the offense we run and they will evaluate my ability, not my production. He was right."

In addition to the Texas A&M offer today, the athletic receiver also collected scholarship offers from University of Houston and SMU this morning. However, it was the Texas A&M offer that made up his mind to commit.

"I've never been to Texas A&M, but Quiv told me he liked it and felt at home there. I'm going up there in two weeks to see for myself," Adeboyejo said. "But with the kind of offense A&M is going to run and playing with my best friend, this was an offer I couldn't refuse."
