One of the top 2014 athletes in the state of Texas, Nick Harvey from Lancaster, attended Texas A&M's 'Friday Night Lights' scrimmage on Friday night.

I asked Nick what his overall impression was of his visit to Texas A&M and Friday Night Lights, and Nick responded "I loved it. They were very hands on and made me feel as if I was at home."

Nick said his favorite part of the visit was "Talking to Coach Sumlin, because he never really backed off and he got straight to the point saying that I was wanted there."

Nick arrived around 6:45pm, "had a good meal, talked to Coach Beaty and the DB Coach as I ate, watched a little bit of their walk through, went in the locker room before the scrimmage, watched the scrimmage, and talked to Coach Sumlin afterwards."

While there Nick met with "Coach Beaty, the DB Coach, the Strength and Conditioning Coach, and a few people from the recruiting office."

Nick says the coaches were telling him "That they really wanted me and would love to Coach me but at the same time they wanted me to be happy."

Nick talked to a few players, including DB Floyd Raven and QB Matt Davis.

Nick also met several of the other recruits  in attendance , including Cedric Collins from Dallas Skyline.

I asked Nick his impression of the scrimmage and style of play, and he responded "I liked their offense because they go at a very fast tempo (no huddle) so a big play is bound to happen at anytime defensively they are very aggressive and adjust well to the offense formations and style of play."

When asked his impression of the Texas A&M team chemistry, Nick said "They treat each other like they are real brothers that's a plus because I want to go to a school that is a big family."

Nick came away from his visit to Texas A&M'S Friday Night Lights with the Aggies well positioned in his "Top 3" and planning future visits to Texas A&M.

The Aggie Websider will continue to follow the recruitment of this great 2014 prospect.
