Chevis Narrows List to Five

One of the top middle linebackers in the state of Texas has decided on a Top 5 in his recruitment. With over 25 offers, the four-star prospect felt it was time to narrow his list to a manageable number. Aggie Websider's David Sandhop briefly communicated with the Houston native and received the his new list of schools.

Sharpstown linebacker Reggie Chevis has seen his stock soar this spring. With over 25 offers and college coaches jockeying for position to land the four-star prospect, the 6-foot-2, 240-pound Houston native has decided to trim his school list down to a final five. He announced his finalists Tuesday evening.

"Yes sir, I've narrowed my list," Chevis said. "My list in order is Texas A&M, Alabama, OU, Arkansas, and (Texas) Tech."

All schools on his list have offered except Alabama. Chevis is uncertain where the recruiting process will go from here. He doesn't know which camps and unofficial visits he'll take this summer and he's not sure of a timeline to make his verbal commitment.

"Naw, I don't know when I will pick," Chevis said. "When it feels right I guess."
