Chevis Makes the Call

The Four-star linebacker prospect from Sharpstown (TX)traveled down to College Station for the team's three-day summer camp. The feeling must have been just right as the 6-foot-2, 245-pound athlete decided it was time to make his choice and end the process.

Several weeks ago Sharpstown linebacker Reggie Chevis narrowed his list of schools down to five. However, the 6-foot-2, 245-pound four star inside linebacker made it clear at the time that the Aggies of Texas A&M led for his commitment.

Chevis traveled to College Station on Tuesday for the start of the team's three-day camp, and the sight of Aggieland was enough to push him over the edge and make his commitment public on Tuesday.

"Yes sir, I already committed (to A&M)," Chevis said via text. "We're all happy. Gig'em."

Chevis joins Kennedale's Brett Wade as the second linebacker in the Class of 2013. With recent attrition and expected graduation of Sean Porter and Jonathan Stewart, expect the Aggies to take another 2-3 linebackers next February.
