A&M Targets - Week 3 High School Results

In week three of the high school football season, many Texas A&M commits and recruiting targets were idle with district play set to begin next week. However, several targets were in action and the Aggie Websider breaks down the performances from Friday night.

2013 commit QB Kohl Stewart and Houston St. Pius (3-0) are idle this week.

2013 commit QB Kenny Hill and Southlake Carroll (2-1) are idle this week.

2013 commit RB James White rushed for 123 yards and 2 TDs (20. 30 yards) on 15 carries to lead Pearland Dawson (3-0) to a 55-24 rout of Clear Falls on Friday nights. White's teammate top 2014 WR Tony Upchurch caught 8 passes for 163 yards and 1 TD (56 yards) and rushed for 69 yards on 5 carries. Upchurch is also a very good basketball prospect.

2013 commit WR Derrick Griffin, caught 4 passes for 63 yards, while 2013 commit S Victor Davis and the Rosenberg Terry defense gave up 419 yards (187 rushing, 232 passing) to Fort Bend Travis but Terry (3-1) won 49-42 on a 97-yard kickoff return after Travis had tied the game with 1:54 to play.

2013 commit WR Laquvionte Gonzalez, rushed for 31 yards on 8 carries and caught 3 passes for 24 yards, while 2013 commit WR Quincy Adeboyejo, caught 8 passes for 65 yards as Cedar Hill (1-3) was beaten 48-35 by DeSoto on Friday night. 2013 ATH Dontre Wilson was held to 56 yards and 2 TDs on 17 carries but caught 5 passes for 144 yards and 2 TDs to lead Desoto.

2013 commit WR Jamar Gibson and Baytown Goose Creek Memorial (2-1) are idle this week.

2013 commit ATH Cameron Echols-Duper has a huge game Friday night. In just one half of play, Echols-Luper had 255 all-purpose yards, completing 9-of-13 passing for 175 yards and 2 TDs, scoring a 4-yard touchdown run, and returning a punt 43 yards for a TD to lead Auburn (AL) (4-0) 42-7 rout of Sidney Lanier (AL) in Montgomery on Friday night. "He's a great football player," Auburn coach Tim Carter said of his quarterback. "He's a heck of a football player."

2013 commit WR Jeremy Tabuyo caught 5 passes for 51 yards as Honolulu St. Louis (HA) (3-3) beat Damien (HA) by a score of 40-7 at Aloha Stadium on Friday evening. For those following my reports on 2015 WR Kanawai Noa, Noa caught 5 passes for 155 yards and 3 TDs Friday night as Punahou beat Pac-Five 42-7.

2013 commit WR Kyrian Parker, 2013 commit CB Tavares Garner, and Manvel (2-1) are idle this week.

2013 commit OL Ishmael Wilson and Dallas Bishop Dunne (3-1) rolled up 497 total yards (262 rushing, 235 passing) in a 35-7 win over North Dallas on Friday night.

2013 commit OL Joas Aguilar and Birdville (4-0) had 458 yards (207 rushing, 251 passing) enroute to a 42-17 win over Fort Worth Dunbar on Friday night.

2013 commit OL J. J. Gustafson and Dallas Jesuit (3-0) are idle this week.

2013 commit DT Isaiah Golden and Carthage (3-1) won their third game in a row, a 44-21 win over Nacogdoches on Friday night.

2013 commit DT Kerrick Huggins, 2014 commit CB Cedric Collins, and Dallas Skyline (2-1) are idle this week.

2013 commit DT Hardreck Walker and Spring Westfield (4-0) surrendered 413 yards (316 rushing, 97 passing) but edged Klein 24-21 on Friday night.

2013 commit DL Jay Arnold, 2013 commit DL Jordan Points, and Rockwall Heath (3-1) shutout Rowlett 45-0 on Friday night, holding Rowlett to 198 total yards (92 rushing, 106 passing).

Hutchinson JC (3-1) is idle this week and 2013 commit DT Robert Zimmerman and 2013 LB Kenny Flowers will be visiting Texas A&M this weekend.

2013 commit LB Reggie Chevis and Houston Sharpstown (4-0) remain undefeated after beating Houston Davis 69-35 on Thursday night. Sharpestown gave up 467 total yards (226 rushing, 241 passing) to Davis.

2013 commit LB Darian Claiborne and Port Allen (LA) (6-0) remained undefeated, beating New Orleans McMain 21-12 on Friday night.

2013 commit LB Brett Wade and Kennedale (2-2) only gave up 257 total yards (125 rushing, 132 passing), but still lost to Argyle 44-13 on Friday night, as Heath lost two fumbles, one returned for a TD, and gave up both a punt return and kickoff return TDs.

2013 commit LB Edward Williams and New Orleans Easton (LA) (1-2) shutout Pope John Paull II 36-0 in Slidell (LA) on Friday night.

In a low scoring game, 2013 commit S Jonathan Wiggins and Alief Taylor (2-2) beat Angleton 8-7 on Friday night, as Taylor scored in the last minute of play and converted a 2-point attempt to pull out the win.

2013 commit S Shaan Washington and Alexandria (LA) (0-4) suffered a 28-27 loss to Pineville (LA) on Friday night.

2013 commit CB Noel Ellis and New Orleans Edna Karr (LA) (2-0) blanked Salmen (LA) 20-0 on Friday night.

2013 commit ATH Alex Sezer rushed for 115 yards and 3 TDs (7, 3, 38 yards) on 21 carries to lead Little Cypress-Mauriceville (1-2) to their first win of the year, 35-20 over Coldspring-Oakhurst on Friday night.
