Ben Malena got the Aggies on the scoreboard with a 4-yard TD run at the 8:22 mark in the first quarter to give Texas A&M a 7-0 lead.

Taking advantage of a 33-yard punt return by Dustin Harris, Johnny Manziel tossed a 9-yard touchdown pass to Uzoma Nwachukwu to give the Aggies a 14-0 lead with 3:22 to go in the first quarter.

South Carolina mounted their one and only sustained drive of the first half, going 70 yards in 8 plays, with Jalen Simmons scoring on a 17-yard run to cut the Aggie lead to 14-7 at the end of the first quarter. That is as close as South Barolina St would get to the Aggies.

In the second quarter, Johnny Manziel scrambled fo 39-yard and 20-yard touchdowns, threw a 30-yard touchdown to Kenric McNeal, threw a 37-yard touchdown to Uzoma Nwachukwu, and Ben Malena ran for a 50-yard touchdown as Texas A&M built a 49-7 halftime lead.

At the half, Texas A&M dominated in total yards, 347 to 90, and first downs, 17 to 5. The Aggie defense had forced eight South Carolina St 3-and-outs and 8 punts in the first half.

Johnny Manziel had completed 15 of 20 passes for 174 yards and 3 TDs and rushed for 78 yards and 2 TDs on 8 carries. Ben Malena had rushed for 88 yards and 2 TDs on 11 carries. Uzoma Nwachukwu had 2 catches for 46 yards, both TDs. Thomas Johnson had 3 catches for 42 yards.

The only score of the third quarter was Dustin Harris returning a South Carolina St punt 96 yards for a touchdown, the second longest punt return in Texas A&M history, as the Aggies opened up a 56-7 lead.

Jameill Showers struggled passing but led the Aggies on a 12-play. 64-yard touchdown drive, with Christine Michael scoring on a 5-yard run to extend the Texas A&M lead to 63-7.

South Carolina St replacement quarterback Richard Cue threw a 39-yard touchdown pass Lennel Elmore to cut the Aggie lead to 63-14.

Texas A&M's last touchdown came on an interception by Aggie defensive back Deshazor Everett that he returned 22 yards for a score to make it a 70-14 lead, which would be the final score.

For the game, Texas A&M led in total yards, 448 to 223, and in first downs, 23 to 11. Texas A&M ended up with 183 yards passing and 265 yards rushing.

Dustin Harris set a new SEC single-game punt return yardage record, returning 8 punts for 246 yards and one touchdown.

Texas A&M (2-1, 0-1 SEC) now prepares to host a struggling Arkansas (1-3, 0-1 SEC) next Saturday afternoon.
