Scouting Report: Scott Elliott's 7-on-7 Eval

Bay City QB Scott Elliott was one of the top Texas preps at the state's 7-on-7 tourney. He recently ended the recruiting suspense when he picked the Tulane, but just how good of a signal caller did the Green Wave get?

This kid is a bit undersized as he carries only 185 pounds on his frame, but he's definitely got the height as he stands 6-2.

He's probably good for 55-60 yards in terms of arm strength. But he can fire it in there when he needs to and showed decent touch.

Also made solid decisions, threw to the right guy and usually put it on the money. So, he's pretty accurate and is very comfortable in a spread offense. After all, he runs the same style of O for the Blackcats.

Possessing above average speed for the QB position (about a 4.75/4.8), he should be able to run for a few first downs.

Bottom Line: I really liked this kid -- his personality, demeanor, competitive desire, just the whole make-up. Should find himself in our August Texas Top 100!
