Johnny Manziel passed for 287 yards and 2 TDs and rushed for 229 yards and 2 TDs while the Aggie defense pitched a second half shutout as Texas A&M (11-2) crushed the Oklahoma Sooners in the 2013 Cottom Bowl on Friday night.
Texas A&M scored on their first possession on a 23-yard tiptoe scramble down the sideline by Johnny Manziel to take an early 7-0 lead. The Aggie defense gave up long drives on Oklahoma's first two possessions but held the Sooners to field goals.
Manziel added a 5-yard TD run on a bootleg play in the second quarter before Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones threw a 6-yard TD pass to Justin Brown just before halftime to make it 14-13.
At the half, Texas A&M held a slim one-point lead and led in total yards, 258 to 249, and trailed Oklahoma in first downs, 20 to 10. In that first half, Johnny Manziel had 75 yards passing and 113 yards and 2 TDs rushing
Texas A&M led by only a point at halftime, but scored 20 unanswered points on its first three drives of the second half, on drives of 91 and 89 yards, with Ben Malena and Trey Williams scoring on TD runs (7 and 30 yards) cap the long scoring drives, before Ryan Swope took a pass 33 yards for a TD on a fourth-and-5 play to give Texas A&M a commanding 34-13 lead.
Oklahoma (10-3), which like the Aggies entered the game with a five-game winning streak, went three-and-out on its first three drives after halftime.
Uzoma Nwachukwu caught a 34-yard TD pass from Manziel as the Aggies cruised in the fourth quarter to a 41-13 rout of the Big 12 co-champ Oklahoma Sooners.
Texas A&M rolled up a massive 633 total yards, 232 yards more than Oklahoma, and with the big Aggie second half Texas A&M edged Oklahoma in first downs, 28 to 27. Texas A&M doubled Oklahoma in average yards per play, 9.6 yp 4.8.

Junior Ben Malena rushed for 56 yards and 1 TD on 8 carries and true freshman Trey Williams rushed for 41 yards and 1 TD on 6 carries.
For Oklahoma, Landry Jones completed 35 of 48 passes for 278 yards and 1 TD with 1 INT. Kenny Stills caught 7 passes for 67 yards, Jalen Saunders 9 passes for 63 yards, and Justin Brown 7 passes for 57 yards and 1 TD. Brennan Clay rushed for 44 yards on 10 carries and Damien Williams rushed for 41 yards on 16 carries.
After a bend-but-don't-break first half in which they surrendered 13 points, the Texas A&M 'Wrecking Crew' defense shutout Oklahoma in the second half, holding the Sooners to no points and just 7 first downs and 152 yards in the second half.
Senior Dustin Harris was named the Cotton Bowl Defensive Player of the game after recording 10 tackles and 1 interception that he returned 22 yards. Deshazor Everett, senior Jonathan Stewart, Toney Hurd, and Howard Matthews each had 9 tackles. Steven Jenkins had 8 tackles, senior Sean Porter had 6 tackles and a sack, Aggie senior Heart Award winner had 5 tackles, and All-American Damontre Moore finished up his Aggie career with 5 tackles.
Texas A&M finishes the season with an 11-2 record, only the fourth team in the Aggies 117-year history to win eleven games.
