News Out on Ross, Bowser

Per a release 4-star wide receiver Fred Ross prospect will ink with the Mississippi State Bulldogs and 3-star defensive end Tyus Bowser will ink with the Houston Cougars...

Fred Ross, a 6-foot-0, 180-pound wide receiver from Tyler (Texas) John Tyler High was back an forth on his decision.

Originally, making a decision to sign with Oklahoma State he became the Pokes first 2013 verbal commitment, but heading down the stretch he took an official visit to Mississippi State.

He fell for what he saw in Starkville and after returning from his official visit admitted that he was set to decide between the two schools.

Tyus Bowser, a 6-foot-2, 230-pound defensive end from the same high school was also a reported commit to Oklahoma State for a period of time, before announcing that he and the school parted ways. Houston emerged as the leader, but no formal report was filed.

It looked like it was going to be a signing day decision for the duo, but news broke on Tuesday night when John Tyler head coach Ricklan Holmes, a former Oklahoma State player, sent out the TJT signing day list, which previewed that Ross would indeed ink with Mississippi State and Bowser would ink with Houston.

Coach Holmes also confirmed via text that these were the final decisions.

"Now that the news is out...signing day will be enjoyable," exclaimed coach Holmes on Twitter! "Colleges take note, who give these kids the power to do what they want."

"Several young men at will sign their Letter of Intent to the College of THEIR CHOICE...Congrats and very proud of you all."

Ross, is rated as a 4-star prospect, the No. 23 wide receiver nationally.

Bowser is rated as a 3-star, the No. 56 defensive end nationally.
