Websider Prognosticator Panel - UTEP

It may be a late season non-conference game against an overmatched UTEP team, but the Websider prognosticators come on strong for another week of insight and successful game predictions as the season starts to wind down.

Texas A&M – 63
UTEP - 6

This boils down to which defense shows up. I got hammered pretty good last week thinking JFF was not going to play and the defense would have marginal improvement. Does the defensive intensity keep up? Backup QB, big lead, late game. Swing for the fences and say even our 2nds score pretty easy on runs. Hope the confidence grows for MSU in prep for red stick.

Texas A&M - 70
UTEP - 24

No explanation necessary. It will be a beat down. The dominant team can name the score.

Texas A&M - 63
UTEP - 10

Johnny sits the entire second half as a&m rolls over the miners (not minors). Sumlin will take the foot off the gas pedal early in the 3rd or the score would be much higher.

Texas A&M - 63
UTEP - 17

The Ags join in on the SEC tradition of scheduling an weak OOC opponent late in the season with a visit from UTEP. The Miners are way bad and this game should be over in the 1st quarter. With Showers out the UTEP offense will be weakened even further which will make it hard to determine if the Aggie D is improving or not. Final score: Ags 63, Miners 17.

Texas A&M - 63
UTEP - 9

Ags win this non-contest 63-9. The defense will use this game to help tune the new found confidence.

Texas A&M - 63
UTEP - 13

Complete beat down in College Station. Continued resurgence from the defense and a big time day from Johnny Football. .

Texas A&M - 56
UTEP - 13

I know a lot of Aggie fans are predicting an epic margin of victory against a depleted mediocre UTEP Miner team. Oh, it will be easy….almost too easy. The second and third teamers will see plenty of playing time in the second half and I think you'll see a conservative game plan when the starters exit. Thus, I just don't see the offense scoring 60-70 points and I think UTEP gets a late touchdown to cover the 47-point spread.
