Texas A&M freshman starting linebacker Darian Claiborne has been suspended for the Chick-fil-a Bowl following an early Sunday morning arrest for possession of marijuana and other related charges according to the Brazos County Sherriff's Office website.
The freshman was one of the few bright spots on a defensive unit that was much maligned throughout the 2013 season. He finished the regular season with 89 tackles and was named to the All-SEC Freshman team.
It is expected that true freshman Jordan Mastrogiovanni will take over the bulk of Claiborne's duties at middle linebacker when the Aggies battle Duke in the Chick-fil-A Bowl on New Year's Eve.
