The Twitter world was buzzing on Thursday night when one of the top prospects in the state of Texas announced his college decision through social media.
"Taking my talents to the University of Texas A&M," said Sulphur Springs product Larry Pryor.
The announcement didn't come as a complete surprise as the 6-foot-1, 190-pound safety had made it clear in recent months that he would seriously consider accepting a Texas A&M scholarship offer.
On Sunday, that offer arrived during a visit to College Station for the school's fist junior day of 2014 and after discussing his future with his mother this week, he called Kevin Sumlin Thursday evening to commit.
The four-star prospect is ranked No. 18 in the state of Texas and No. 119 nationally by Scout.com. He's already the seventh pledge in the TExas A&M 2015 class. He's also the third top-rated 2015 East Texas product to commit to the Aggies.
