Texas A&M prospect Byron Muphy to pick between A&M and 3 others

Top Arizona athlete to pick between Washington, USC, Texas A&M and Arizona State

Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro wide receiver/corner back Byron Murphy has set his commitment date.

Saguaro head coach Jason Mohns says, "Byron's commitment will take place Thursday January 21st at 12:15 P.M. at Saguaro."

Murphy, ranked by Scout as the 118th best player in the country, has already officially visited Washington, Texas A&M and Arizona State and is expected to visit USC this weekend. He will pick between those four schools

Murphy is ranked as the 9th best athlete in the nation by Scout because of his dominance on both sides of the football. As a receiver he caught 88 passes for 1,733 yards and 21 touchdowns as a senior while helping his team win the D2 state title. He also added four scores rushing. On defense he made 52 tackles and seven interceptions. Most schools are recruiting Murphy as a defensive player.
