Recruiting is Red-Hot for Scout 300 DL & Texas A&M Target, Chris Daniels

Chris Daniels' recruitment is running red-hot as national signing day approaches. Scout discusses the latest...

Chris Daniels, a 6-foot-4, 315-pound defensive tackle from Euless (Texas) Trinity made his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners on Dec. 18, but since that time his recruitment has only heated up.

The day before he ade his decision he received and offer from the Texas Longhorns. He used one of his five allowed official visits to see the school this past weekend. He assigned an "8.5" rating for his visit on a scale of 1-10.

He has also been busy playing host, as a number of top coaching staffs have come in-home to visit with Daniels and his family. He picked up an Arkansas offer and that staff stopped in as well as Mississippi from the SEC.

Also coming through on Monday was OU head coach Bob Stoops.

Daniels is set to host Kevin Sumlin and Charlie Strong in the days ahead.

Speaking of Texas A&M, it has re-entered the picture with a late push and Daniels will see the Aggies program on Jan. 29 on his final official visit before national signing day.
