Game Balls: Alabama

The Texas A&M Aggies couldn't overcome miscues against top ranked Alabama Saturday, picking up their first loss of the season 33-14. Aggie Digest hands out it's 'Game Balls' for the Aggies top performers.

The Texas A&M Aggies couldn't overcome personal miscues Saturday against the nations top ranked team in Alabama. The Crimson Tide handed the Aggies their first loss of the season 33-14 in a game that saw the Aggies defense hold Alabama early but eventually wear down.

As is the case each week, we hand out our game balls to the Aggies top performers, win or lose.

Keith Ford - The transfer running back seemed to run with purpose once the Aggie offense began to feed in late in the second half. He finished the day with 62 yards rushing on 15 carries but was easily the most physical back for the Aggies and likely deserved some more touches.

Shaan Washington - The senior linebacker continues his solid final season for the Aggies. Washington led the Aggie defenders with 11 stops on the day, including a half tackle-for-loss and a quarterback hurry.

Christian Kirk - Kirk was certainly busy on Saturday, at least in terms of the Aggies passing game. Of the Aggies 14 completions, Kirk had 9 of them. He finished with 58 yards and a nice touchdown. He also had the 32 yard kickoff return to help.

Myles Garrett - Let's be honest, Garrett should probably have a permanent spot on this list. A lot of what he does helps those around him and he finished Saturday with seven tackles including 3.5 for-loss. Alabama did a good job of scheming him out of the play a lot and Cam Robinson did a great job as well.
