Game Balls: UTSA

The Texas A&M Aggies outlasted a pesky UTSA team that wouldn't go away Saturday afternoon, beating the Roadrunners 23-10 in Kyle Field.

The Texas A&M Aggies outlasted a visiting UTSA team that wouldn't go away, beating the Roadrunners 23-10 in Kyle Field to move to 8-3 on the season and setting up Thursday night's match-up with visiting LSU.

Although the Aggies continue to struggle with consistencies throughout the game, there were many bright spots in the game and we hand out our Game Balls to those Aggies that stood out in the win.

Myles Garrett - I questioned coming in, the value of using Garrett Saturday against UTSA versus saving him more for LSU with his recent limitations from injury. I now stand corrected as Garrett looked just fine out there. He finished his massive day with 4.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass break-up.

Josh Reynolds - Reynolds continues to show each week why he is the best pure pass catcher on the team. He is going to make himself some money next year. He finished his day with a game high seven catches for 93 yards and a touchdown.

Shaan Washington - He continued his very solid senior season on Saturday, finishing his day with a team leading 10 tackles in the win.

Keith Ford - As has been the case several times this year, Ford and Trayveon Williams have similar stat lines and either could be deserving of recognition. In this case, I gave it to Ford for his day. Although he did not find the end zone like Williams' 47 yards scamper, Ford did finish with 13 carries for 71 yards and respectable 5.5 yards per carry.

Daniel LaCamera - He has had some shaky moments this season but was solid, kicking three first half field goals and knocking through two extra points to end up accounting for 11 of the Aggies 23 points. He made field goals of 24, 33 and 37 yards.
