NEXT UP: KANSAS JAYHAWKS

T-MURPH GOING FOR 100: A&M junior Terrence Murphy needs three receptions to become the Texas A&M's fifth receiver with 100 career catches. He would be the first junior in school history to hit the century mark.

KICKOFF: Sat., Nov 1, 12:30pm at Kyle Field

KU RECORD: 5-3, 2-2 Big 12

SERIES HISTORY: Texas A&M leads the all-time series with Kansas 5-1, which dates back to 1974. The Aggies have won five straight against KU since falling to the Jayhawks 28-10 in the initial game between the two teams.

OF NOTE: Senior quarterback Bill Whittemore, the nation's second-highest rated passer, will not play due to collar bone injury. Back-up quarterbacks are sophomore Brian Luke and junior John Nielsen.

The Jayhawks are still looking for a win in College Station. Saturday marks the fifth time in the history of the A&M-KU series that KU returns to Kyle.

KEEP AN EYE ON: TB Clark Green -- Although it appeared freshman backup John Randle might begin taking over the rushing workload, Green had the better game with 55 yards on 10 carries against Kansas State. He added two catches for 29 yards, the most yard produced by any Jayhawk receiver, as the team had difficulty throwing downfield without QB Bill Whittemore in the lineup.

DANGEROUS ON SPECIAL TEAMS: Last week against KSU, Greg Heaggans became the Jayhawks' career leader in return yardage with a 28-yard runback. He also had a 22-yarder and prompted Kansas State to kick short and give up field position by doing so.
