A&M's men's hoops squad hits the road to face Houston on Saturday night at 7:30pm in Hofheinz Pavilion. The game marks the first time the Ags have played the Cougs since 1995-96 when both schools were members of the Southwest Conference.

Record: 5-3
Last action: Beat Grambling, 103-101 (2 OT)
Up next: Houston (4-3) at Houston, TX
When: Saturday, Dec. 27 at 7:30pm

Of note: Head Coach Melvin Watkins on Sunday night's win: "It was quite a battle. It was like we took the holidays off before they got here. We just don't get it yet. You look back at the game against UTSA (on Thursday), where we played good defense, then tonight it was a totally different team. I knew Antoine would have a breakout night. Hopefully, now he can maintain it. We made 25 of 44 free throws and you don't win many games like that. It was just one of those games. I got on them pretty hard in the locker room after the game and they needed it. We gave up drives to the basket, then didn't step over (to help)."

Who's hot: Antoine Wright. Against Grambling State, Wright scored a career-high 32 points to lead A&M to a double overtime victory. His previous best was 25 points last year against Miami and Texas. Wright also hit 5-of-10 three-pointers, matching his season high against Prairie View A&M.

About UH: The Cougars, coming off of a 71-65 overtime victory over Chicago State, bring a three game win streak into the game against the Aggies.

Facing an old foe: Saturday's game against intrastate rival Houston in Hofheinz Pavilion marks the first time the Aggies have played the Cougars since 1995-96 when both schools were members of the Southwest Conference.
