McBath Rates O-State Visit Very High

Darcel McBath, a 6-foot-0, 175-pound cornerback with 4.48 40 speed, is on his way back home from his first official visit. The Gainesville standout rated his trip to Oklahoma State very high.

"My visit to Oklahoma State was a ten," McBath said. "I had a lot of fun and felt real comfortable. It's a great atmosphere and every one there was real nice."

Despite having a great trip, McBath wasn't ready to name the Cowboys as his leader. He will take the rest of his official visits before making his college choice.

Up next for him will be official visits to Texas Tech (1/16), Texas A&M (1/18) and Notre Dame (1/23).

What does he like about the two Texas teams on his list?

"Texas Tech's coaching staff is real cool," he said. "I talk to their coaches all the time on the phone. I haven't been down there before yet.

"I went to a Texas A&M game last year. Their fan support is great. That program really knows how to fill a stadium."

What is the standout corner looking for in a school?

"Some place that is comfortable," he said. "I felt that this weekend at Oklahoma State."

As a senior, McBath scored 17 touchdowns on offense. On the defensive side, he recorded 79 tackles and six interceptions.

McBath shouldn't have any problems qualifying academically. He currently has a 3.4 grade point average with a score of 18 on the ACT.
