Asked what he planned to major in, the Alief Hastings DT told Smith, "Law Mechanical Engineering."
Smith, according to Oghobaase, said A&M had one of the top engineering programs in the country and then asked if he had interest in the Maroon and White. "I told him I did and he said, 'We're going to offer you 'ship.'"
The Coogs jumped on the Bayou City first-team all-underclassmen before anybody else...
"I never really thought about Houston until they offered me the other day," said the 6-5/6-6, 295-pounder. "But now that they offered me a scholarship this early in the game, I have to consider them. I'm going to take a visit (to the UH campus) sometime in the next week or two to see what it's like."
As for the Dennis Franchione and Gang?
"They excited me the other day when they called and said they were offering me a scholarship," Oghobaase said.
