Junior Report: Roddrick Muckelroy

Caught up with Hallsville LB product Roddrick Muckelroy to get the early low down on his recruitment thus far...

5{ his senior year, Roddrick Muckelroy is currently rated the state's No. 9 overall prospect and should be heavily pursued as he eye-balls right at 6-1/6-1.5, 215 pounds and is said to clock a 4.65 forty (or faster).

As a junior, he tallied about 120 tackles at the middle linebacker position, but also logged minutes at running back.

He is currently playing basketball and will then participate in track and field so he has yet to begin filling out. And because of that, projects to be a monster linebacker prospect once he gets on a college football weight-lifting program. That's not to say that he is weak. Just pointing out that he is not in off-season workouts year-round...

"Chris Collins is probably the most polished and best high school linebacker in the state," Hallsville head coach Roger Adams said. "But some think Roddrick could make the better prospect in the long run. He has a lot of room for growth. And has a great feel for the game."

Asked who his top seven schools are at this juncture, Muckelroy said, "Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, TCU, LSU, Arkansas, Alabama."
