Melvin Smith met up with us and we went to check out the weight-room and the floor is all turf. They have one of the largest athletic complexes in the country and it's brand new. It's all new. They're fininshed with it all, except they're still going to build two new indoor facilities. But the athletic complex looks like it's all finished and it looks very, very nice."

State's No. 2 Trips To College Station

"I went to A&M last Wednesday," Vince Oghobaase said, "It was heckuva time. Coach <b>Melvin Smith</b> met up with us and we went to check out the weight-room and the floor is all turf. They have one of the largest athletic complexes in the country and it's brand new. It's all new. They're fininshed with it all, except they're still going to build two new indoor facilities. But the athletic complex looks like it's all finished and it looks very, very nice."<p>

"It was huge," Oghobaase continued. "When I say huge, I mean Huge. And then they took me up to Coach Franchione's office. And it looked like a house. He had his own big screen in there, a couch, his own personal locker room."

Needless to say, the state's No. 2 was impressed, but the tour wasn't finished...

"I saw the player's lounge -- they had a big-screen T.V., four video arcades, two pool tables, a ping-pong table, everything you could imagine..."

"Stacey, it was lovely," Oghobaase said in convincing fashion. "It was real nice, really, really, nice. Everything about it. Then they showed me the academic set-up for athletes, like the computer room. And how you can check out a laptop if you need to. I saw the locker room for the players and it was huge. I really liked the Texas A&M logo they had inside the locker room."

And the tour marches on...

"They took us to the training room. They have their own X-RAY Doctor. And state-of-the-art recovery rooms. Just incredible."

From a facilities standpoint, Oghobaase said the Aggies are leading the way, so the upgrades are not going unnoticed by top-notch prospects, that's for sure...

Oghobaase is an MSL/TheInsiders camp invitee and is planning on making the one on Sunday April 4 at The University of Houston.

For more information on the MSL combines, go to www.mslcombines.com or simply click here. Kids planning on attending either the April 3rd or 4th Houston camp or the May 22nd or 23rd SMU Dallas camps, contact Stacey Dean via his email address which is sdean@theinsiders.com, if you have any difficulties registering.

You MUST pre-register or you will not be able to participate. There will be no last-minute walk-ups. If you're not yet signed up, you're missing out on the most realistic NFL Combine-like event, including the NFL HRT test (NFL aptitude/psyche test) soon-to-be NFLers take, not to mention every drill the NFL Combine puts on and perhaps the most exciting aspect -- position-specific instruction via former/current NFL coaches and/or players. Are you ready to take YOUR game to the next level?
