Adds Surprise Offer; Has A Leader

We touched base with Rusk RB Cody Glenn to find out what's new with him. Turns out, some good things have been happening for the 6-1, 220-pound prospect.

Cody Glenn told TheInsiders that BYU and Tennessee recently offered scholarships.

"Tennessee offering is great," Glenn said. "I'm really thinking about going out to one of there camps."

Volunteer RB coach Trooper Taylor is personally recruiting the Rusk standout, but Glenn said he'll also talk to the head man (Phillip Fulmer) soon.

BYU, also in the mix, watched a workout and remain a school to keep an eye on.

Glenn's favorite, meanwhile, happens to be "Oklahoma State."

"Coach (Les) Miles told me I have a chance to play early and I like that," said the Lone Star State's No. 21...

Another school on Glenn's short list?

Arizona and Baylor have also offered and Glenn didn't dismiss either as options.

With the Dallas MSL/TheInsiders Combine this weekend (May 22-23), what's Glenn's plans for that weekend?

"I'll be there," he said. "I didn't get to run the forty at the Nike camp the way I wanted to because of the rain (4.6). I'm sure I will bust out a low-4.5 or high-4.4 at SMU. I'm looking forward to it."

His time frame for a solid commitment?

"We'll see what happens," Glenn said. "But I think I may commit before the season starts..."

Last season, the Rusk senior-to-be rushed for 2,006 yards with 27 touchdowns and is currently ranked as the Lone Star State's No. 3 tailback in a year boasting several in-state studs...
