A&M reciever Nick Rhodes dismissed from team

Texas A&M Head Coach Dennis Franchione announced Tuesday that Aggie receiver Nick Rhodes has been released from the football team after allegedly punching his roommate. Rhodes, who was charged with misdemeanor assault, is also accused of hitting his roommate with a guitar. "Nick Rhodes is no longer with the team," Franchione stated. Rhodes, a redshirt freshman wide receiver at Texas A&M, is from Brownwood, TX.

Texas A&M begins practice on August 9. The Aggies open the 2004 season against Utah on September 2.
