Keller Fossil Ridge WR Picks Maroon and White

Keller Fossil Ridge wide receiver <b>Howard Morrow</b> opts to end the suspense, pledging his services to Texas A&M over everyone else.

"I called Coach (Chris ) Thurmond and told him I wanted to commit and he seemed really happy about it," Howard Morrow said quickly before hittin' the late-night feature film. "Coach Thurmond said that I should get a lot of playing time my freshman year," he said before hanging up.

The 6-0.5, 187-pounder likes the sound of early playing time...

"Howard called sometime this evening to commit to Texas A&M," Howards's father said. "He called him from (Fossil Ridge HC) Coach (Hal) Wasson's office. When he called, Coach Thurmond asked him, 'Are you calling to make my day?.' At first, Howard told him, 'No.' But then he said he was just kidding and that he did want to commit."

"I'm happy with it," said Mr. Morrow pertaining to his son's decision to give TAMU an early verbal. "We discussed it last night. Me, him and his mother. And we're happy about it. He's close enough to where everyone can come and see him play, too."

The Fossil Ridge pass-catcher recorded 61 grabs for 1,026 yards and 13 TDs.

The Keller standout picked Texas A&M over "LSU, Texas Tech, Kansas State and Oklahoma State."
