Oklahoma RB Makes It Official

12thFan said on Monday to not be surprised if Texas A&M picked up a commitment from a certain Muskogee tailback from the state of Oklahoma. And just about 15 minutes ago, it became official. The Aggies have added Pete Richardson to their 2005 recruiting class.

"I called Coach (Chris) Thurmond and told him I wanted to be an Aggie," Pete Richardson said. "He went over everything with me and I told him, 'Yes, I want to jump aboard.'"

According to the Midlands Hot 50 prospect, the Maroon and White recruited him as an athlete.

"Coach Thurmond said I could come in there and play wherever I wanted -- that I could play a lot of different positions."

Expect the 5-9.5, 180-pounder (with 4.42 speed) to try out at running back, cornerback, kick and punt returns and possible even wide receiver.

"Tell the A&M fans that when I come in next year, get ready for us, because we're going to be really good."
