Hammond, Louisiana WR Antonio Perry offers his pledge to a Big 12 South up-and-comer Texas A&M. The Maroon and White land their second commitment of the week and we caught up with the 6-2.5, 185-pounder to get the details...
"I don't know why I went ahead and did it," Antonio Perry
told Scout.com. "I guess I just got tired of visiting different schools. I visited a lot of places. And I just liked how A&M set themselves apart from everyone else. I then talked to my parents about wanting to commit to A&M and they supported me. They said I've made all the right choices and that if I feel good about it then they did too."
"I called Coach Fran and Coach Fobbs and told them I wanted to be an Aggie," Perry continued. "They were excited to hear that. Coach Fran asked if I was ready to be an Aggie and I said I was."
The senior from Hammond HS selected Texas A&M over schools such as, "Southern Miss (offer), LSU (offer), Mississippi State (offer), Ole Miss (offer) and Indiana (offer)."
His message to Texas A&M fans and alumni?
"Watch out for me and be ready to cheer for me next year," Perry said. "I'm going to give A&M fans a show. Hopefully, I'll get to do that wearing No. 3. Coach Fran said he may be able to arrange that."
High School Notes: 7 grabs, 385 yards, 3 TDs.
