Louisiana RB Has A Top Five

Amite, Louisiana big back Kendrick Perry has Texas A&M, among other teams, on his mind these days. Scout.com caught up with the 6-1, 215-pounder for a quick update on his offer count and which schools make up his top five...

"Right now, I have offers from Texas A&M, Northwestern, Tulane, Southern Miss, South Carolina and Indiana," Kendrick Perry said.

Asked which teams he's listing in his top five, he said, "I'm still pretty open, but my top five teams right now are A&M, USC (South Carolina), USC, Indiana and Ole Miss."

Of those five, the Maroon and White has been one team Perry remains very high on...

"I took an unofficial visit there this past summer," Perry revealed. "And, I just like the coaches and players a lot."

With fellow Louisianan and friend, Antonio Perry, already in the A&M fold, Kendrick could end the suspense. But he told Scout.com he wants to take his official visits first and that those will come after the high school football season.

Strengths and Areas To Improve: "I think I have good cut backs. I can find the hole really well and see the field well. I just need to work on improving my blocking."

Academics: In August, reported a 3.3 GPA; 15 ACT (frosh score)/fall retake. Currently? Perry said he has a 3.5 GPA and needs just a 17 on the ACT to qualify. He said he knows he'll get it.
