We caught up with Butler County Community College (El Dorado, KS) head coach Troy Morrell to visit with him about a couple of his JUCO prospects that Texas A&M has spoke to him about, WR Frantz Hardy and S Mike West. Coach Morrell gives us a little 411 about those two kids and what level of interest Dennis Franchione and Gang have shown here of late.
is one of the top JUCO wide receivers in the country," Butler County CC head coach Todd Morrell
told Scout.com. "He's 6-1, 170 pounds and runs in the 4.3-range. He's a great player who has got a lot speed and great hands also."
In terms of remaining eligibility, Morrell said, "He's got three years to play three at the next level and will be ready to hit college after the spring semester."
Some of the teams who have officially ponied up are as follows: "Auburn, South Carolina, Iowa, Nebraska, KU, University of California and Michigan State."
How 'bout them Ags?
Coach (Stan) Eggen was up here during their off-week, about three weeks ago I guess," Morrell informed. "And he spoke highly of him. But not sure if and when they might offer."
Another potential prospect for the Maroon and White could be Butler County CC safety Mike West.
"He has one offer right now from South Carolina," Morrell said. "He's 6-2, 210 and runs in the 4.4-range. He's got three to play three and he'll be ready to enroll (at a D-I school) in the spring. A&M was interested in him but don't know where things are at with them and Mike now."
