Those appear to be four terrific finalists for his oral commitment/official John Hancock, however Powe worded it like this: "Everybody is equal right now. But those four (A&M, Auburn, Nebraska, Ole Miss) -- with LSU, Alabama, Clemson, Tennessee and Mississippi State -- are the teams I'm looking at the most."
While keeping his faves (or top 4/5) a bit closer to the vest, we at least know of four happy college coaching staffs. So, we thought we'd get the National Hot 100 No. 40 (per Scout.com) to shoot us a few lines on the four programs making the cut on his official visit agenda as well as which assistant coaches (from those same four programs) are tasked with the responsibility of landing him...
Powe on A&M: "(Aggie defensive line) Coach (Stan) Eggen and (Aggie safeties) Coach (Melvin) Smith are recruiting me. I saw (TAMU) play on T.V. And, I just like the way they play. I'm lookin' forward to meeting the coaches in person and seeing how things are when I take my visit. We'll just see when the time comes."
On Auburn: "(Tiger DB) Coach (Don) Dunn is recruiting me. I've already taken a couple of unofficial visits and I like what I saw."
On Nebraska: "(Husker DL) Coach (John) Blake is recruiting me. Pretty much the same thing I said about A&M. I'm looking forward to meeting their coaches and checking out the school on my visit."
On Ole Miss: "(Tight Ends/Asst Offensive Line) Coach (Matt) Luke is recruiting me. Again, the same thing I told you on A&M and Nebraska. I want to take an official visit so I can check it all out."
