"Texas A&M is close to home and I know that I could get some early playing time as a frehsman," says Lane. "They are a good academic school and that is the main thing that I'm looking at.
"They run some of the same formations with their running game that we do at Lufkin. I like how they run the 1-back also. That is good for me. There are a lot of people from Lufkin that go there also. I'm looking to stay close to home, and it would be good to go to school where I already know a lot of people."
"Oklahoma State has a good community feeling to it, said Lane pertaining to his interest in the Cowboys. "It's not that big either--kind of like Lufkin. They usually lead in the Big-12 division and that is a big turn on too."
Asked about the Coogs, Lane said, "Washington State uses a lot of screen passes to their RB--I'm used to that too. They also run some similar plays to Lufkin."
The 4-star bruiser has many offers including ones from Arizona and Oklahoma.
He says he will officially visit Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Washington State after the season.
