LA Safety Nic Harris Breaks It Down...

Alexandria, Louisiana FS/SS prospect Nic Harris reschedules a couple of official visits. We get the details on that as well as take a look at the key factors that will determine which school (LSU, Michigan, Nebraska, OU, Texas A&M) the 6-3, 207-pounder will eventually pick, and when he expects to make his decision...

Nic Harris, who has already officially tripped to Oklahoma (9/10), Texas A&M (9/17) and Michigan (10/29), has rescheduled his LSU and Nebraska official visits...

"I'm going to LSU this weekend (12/3) and Nebraska the next weekend (12/10)," Harris told Scout.com.

Going into those official visits the Louisiana prep said he has no favorite. But what are the more pertinent factors he will consider in selecting his future college of choice?

We asked him to either give us an "Extremely important", "Real important", "Important" or a "Not that important" with regard to the factors below. He also weighs in with a few comments...

Dean: Proximity....

Harris: I would have to say that it's not that important: When you go to college, it's away from home. So, you're out of the house. And, you're parents aren't going to go to college with you, so I don't think it's important....

Dean: Parents preference/input?

Harris: Not that important: I will listen to what they say and weigh it all. But it's really my decision to make. I'm the one who is going to be there for 4 years.

Dean: Playing time...

Harris: That's important, but not real important: The way I look at it is like this. The best players are going to play. If I'm one of the best, then I'll play. If I'm not, then I'm not going to be ranting about it. I'll just have to work harder to get onto the field.

Dean: Position coach...

Harris: Real important: I want to learn and get better. So, I think that that is very important.

Dean: Academics?

Harris: Extremely important. I want to major in kinesiology, pre-med. Texas A&M Michigan and LSU rank really high. Those three schools I know for a fact rank real high for what I want to do.

Dean: "Comfortbility" factor...

Harris: Extremely important: That's the main one right there. The last thing I want to do is go somewhere that I don't feel comfortable at. If I'm not happy, it's not like I can go pack my bags and go home. So, that (comfortbility) is going to make my decision.

Harris said he'll give a verbal commitment to one of his top five schools "probably sometime before Christmas."
