Official Visit Agenda: "I'm going to K-State (12/10), Wisconsin (12/17) and Arkansas (1/21)."
Dean: Thoughts on the Wildcats?
Lewis: I like the coaching staff. And, I've been talking to Coach Latimore and Coach Elliott quite a bit. Also, they've been a defensive powerhouse the past couple of years but were down this year. I feel like I can bring them back to the level they're used to playing at if I went there.
Dean: And, the Badgers?
Lewis: I like the area from what I have seen without actually being there to check it out for myself. So, I'd like to take an official visit there. And, I really like the tradition they have and the tradition of the Big 10 conference. Also, they have one of my former teammates (Robert Brooks) playing strong safety there, so I have someone there that I know.
Lewis: The SEC is one of the top conferences you could ever play in. I get along with the coaches and they're the only school talking to me about playing defensive end. And, I kind of like the sound of that.
Asked about the Aggies, Lewis said, "I haven't set an official visit up there and might not because they haven't talked to me in the last couple of weeks. I think they may be through with recruiting my position.
Should Dennis Franchione and Gang come calling, though, Lewis said he is in fact very interested.
"I went to a game up there and the 12th Man atmosphere is awesome," said the 4-star blue-chipper. "I would love to be surrounded by that type of atmosphere. And, of course, it would be closer to home. I could stay in Texas if I went there."
The Canes also remain in the mix should they begin to show serious interest again...
"They offered early and I didn't jump on it," Lewis revealed. "And, I think they moved on to other guys now. Haven't heard from them in a long time. But if they were to recruit me again, I would love to take an official visit there and would be very interested in them."
