Alton Dixon Updates Commitment Status Again

Lufkin CB Alton Dixon has been one of the most talked about Lone Star State recruits over the last couple of months. Is he committed to A&M? Or not? Is he taking an official visit to OU? Or not? Is he solid to TAMU? We caught up with him and he decided to update his commitment status once again with

"I'm firm," Alton Dixon said regarding his oral commitment to Dennis Franchione and Gang. "I'm stickin' with A&M and I'm not going to take any more official visits."

"I'm just tired of this recruiting stuff," Dixon continued. "After we win the state championship, I'm taking one official visit and that will be to A&M."

The 4-star cornerback prospect said that the head man told him he had seen some stuff on the internet about taking official visits elsewhere and was a little worried about his commitment.

"Coach Fran said he had seen something different on me every day," Dixon revealed. "And, I told him that I was solid. And, they're very happy with my decision to go to A&M."

"I had set up an official visit to College Station for this coming weekend (12/10), but I had to push it back because we're still playing," said the 6-0, 190-pound DB.

Dixon and his Lufkin teammates will play Southlake Carroll for the right to go to the state championship game.
