Ags top Penn State on the road

Texas A&M trailed by 15 points in the second half before shutting down the Nittany Lions' offense in the final minutes of the game and beating Penn State 62-60. The victory was the 11th consecutive win for the Aggies.

The Texas A&M Aggies added another chapter to the record book on Sunday, winning their first road trip under first-year coach Billy Gillispie and beating the Penn State Nittany Lions 62-60 in University Park, Pa. The victory was the Aggies' 11th consecutive win.

Acie Law and Antoine Wright each scored 19 points. As a team the Aggies (11-0, 0-0 in Big 12) scored 21 points from turnovers. Texas A&M trailed by 15 points in the second half before shutting down the Nittany Lions' offense in the final minutes of the game.

Texas A&M leads the all-time series between the two schools 2-0. The Aggies had previously beat Penn State (6-6, 0-0 in Big Ten) 62-55 win back on Dec. 28, 1972, in the first round of the All-College Tournament in Oklahoma City.

Sunday's game was A&M's final non-conference matchup before kicking off Big 12 play on Wednesday at No. 2-ranked Kansas. Tip-off is slated for 8:00 p.m. in Lawrence, Kan. at Allen Fieldhouse.
