The highlight of Norton's visit to College Station? A prime seat in the press box and a chance meeting with A&M's newest comedian.
"I walked in the door and someone threw a football at me," Norton said of his halftime arrival at Kyle Field. "Then he asked, 'Hey man, can you catch?' Of course after seeing the guy I realized it was Martellus Bennett. We talked for awhile while the game was going on."
"I sat with Justin Warren in the press box," Norton explained. "My mom went down to the lounge and the locker room. I met up with Melvin Bullitt who is from my district and who plays for A&M now. He was telling me how much hard work it was but also how fun it is."
After the game, the prospects and coaches got down to some serious business.
"We went down to the academic department for football with Coach Fran and Stan Eggen," the Rowlett LB said. "I pretty much talked with all the coaches. I talked to Coach Fran, Eggen, and Carl Torbush the most."
On a scale of 1 to 10 he rated both the Texas visit and the A&M visit a 10, saying the visits where just about even.
Norton's top two still consists of Texas and Texas A&M but he said he has no real leader between the two. He plans on making a decision before the end of the school year, prolonging that date until the start of the next school year at the latest.
