Curtis Bailey: Dallas Carter OT Names A Leader

Dallas (Texas) offensive lineman Curtis Bailey (6-6, 360, 5.7) says USC leads heavily over Texas, Notre Dame and Texas A&M. None have offered, but Bailey claims he has written offers from Oklahoma (first to offer), Nebraska, Colorado State and Duke...

"I really didn't like Oklahoma at all when they first offered me because of the whole Texas-Oklahoma rivalry thing and because I'd never been there before. But I'm going to give them a good look throughout all of this," says Curtis Bailey, from Carter High School.

"I'm heavily into USC right now though. If they were to offer, I'd want to get out there right away for an unofficial. And if I really liked it, I'd probably commit to them right away.

"I've been on vacation in the Los Angeles area before, but I've never been able to see the campus," he says. "I'd really like to take an official visit there. I'd also like to live in California for a little bit of my life too. I like the never-quit-attitude of their program, and how they always come out on top.

"Texas A&M is recruiting me the hardest. I like their tradition and the way they play football. I feel comfortable around their coaches and everything.

"Notre Dame is my #3 school. I just grew up always liking them and rooting for them. I like how they've got coach () Weis there now, but other than that I don't know too much else about them.

"I've spoken with the coaches at both USC and Notre Dame, though I can't remember their names. I can't tell if they're going to offer me yet though," says Bailey.

Bailey has taken in JR Days at Texas A&M, Texas and he'll be at Texas Tech's this weekend (4/16). He has no plans to attend any combines and will either take in a camp at Texas or Texas A&M this summer.

"I'm good at run blocking and pass blocking. And I just want to work on my speed and agility and my footwork."
