Jerrod Johnson, No. 7 overall in the Scout.com Texas Top 100 and our top wide receiver in the state, checked in at a ridiculous 6-5.5, 217 pounds. He clocked a 4.68 forty which compares very favorably to last year's No. 1 wide receiver in the nation Patrick Turner (who Scout listed with a 4.65 forty).

Kid's Tha Truth...

Commitment Status Update: Scout.com had Johnson listed as a soft verbal in the Scout database and we wanted to follow up with the probable 4-star, possible 5-star, prep to see where he currently stands now.

"I'm firm to A&M," Johnson said. "The (Aggie) coaches have been worried about my commitment, but I like A&M."

The Humble ATH will play QB this year (senior season). As a junior, he split time at both wide receiver and quarterback. His sophomore campaign had him exclusively at the wideout position where he made a name for himself.
