Michael Goodson Visit Agenda

Klein Collins RB Michael Goodson is headed to Norman, Oklahoma tomorrow morning according to his father, Mr. Goodson. Scout.com has you covered on the State and Southwest Region No. 1-ranked tailback, and we'll have a full report up soon….

"We've been trying to get up there and we're probably going to head out tomorrow morning," Michael Goodson's father told Scout.com. "We plan on staying there for most of the day and then we'll head back tomorrow night. It's going to be a drive doing it all in the same day, but we said we were going to get up there, and we'd like to check it out."

Essentially, based on my conversation with Mr. Goodson, you have a father, along with his son, that are doing their best to knock out the recruiting process early, perhaps in another week or two. And, their plans remain to see more than enough to grab a few analyses before the 5-11.5, 185-pound ‘back makes his college decision.

As a matter of fact, the Goodson's are talking about tripping to Stillwater to measure Oklahoma State, their campus, program, comfortability, etc., also.

"We enjoyed visiting with their coaches and we like what they have going on there, with Bobby Reid from Texas, and think that program has an opportunity to compete as well – so we'd like to get up there to check them out as well."

This past weekend, the Klein Collins running back made the Texas A&M camp for an unofficial visit, and an up-close look at their facilities.

"Mike never toured the campus before and so we wanted to make sure he had the chance to do that."

And don't rule out LSU either, they're still in the mix as well…

A few schools who joined the fray late (Florida, Miami and Tennessee) has Goodson considering them, but because they got in so late, they probably never gave themselves a solid chance.

"At some point, you have to narrow down your choices -- it can be overwhelming if you keep adding schools, so I don't think we'll be looking at those schools."

Prior 411 indicates that it is USC leading the pack. But if Goodson and Co. choose to stick closer to home, LSU, OU and OSU have a good shot while the odds ultimately could tip the scales in favor of TAMU. Should be an interesting week or two ahead as the top back in the Southwest region nears a decision regarding his college future.
