Garland DT Antwine Talks New Top-5

Garland DT Brandon Antwine gave us his leader(s), including two others having a shot as well, updating his early Top-5 list...

"My top three is the same as it has been, USC, Florida and OU," Brandon Antwine told

And based on our conversation with the Garland standout, the Trojans have a slight advantage at this stage of the game, with the Gators and Sooners right behind.

Beyond his crush on the above three programs, the probable 4-star DT gave us two more: "Texas Tech and Nebraska."

"Texas Tech is in it, but not by much," he relayed. "They're in the fourth spot because I know if I went there, I could go in and play early. "The other schools on my list would probably redshirt me, and that's okay, too. But if I wanted to play right away, I could do that at Tech. That's why I have them No. 4 on my list."

And the Huskers?

"Same thing, I could go in there an play early, that's why they're still in it."

The 6-0.5, 270-pound DT (who clocked a 5.08 at the Army All-American Combine in Waco, Texas), adding to the above said, "Tennessee and Georgia have also come on strong, but if I'm going far away from home, then it will probably be USC or Florida."

"My mom wants me to stay close to home," Antwine continued, "She could see my games easier, and stuff, but I'm looking at USC, Florida and OU more than anyone else -- that's my top three."
