Michael Goodson Preview

Klein Collins RB Michael Goodson is hours away from releasing his decision news. With a recent trip to College Station, how does A&M look as we inch closer to the State No. 1 RB's decision? And where does Oklahoma State fit in regarding the Goodson Sweepstakes. USC once led, do they now? Also, info/commentary available on LSU and OU. Go inside now...

Scout.com spoke to the National Top Five running back Thursday night and then again on Friday to grab a few more details regarding his recuitment.

Tripping to A&M to grab one more up-close look at their program, Goodson told us Thursday night that he was also trying to set up a trip to Oklahoma State, giving them one more unofficial visit, and the last word, before making his decision publicly this Sunday.

Checking in today, to get final word regarding a visit or no visit to Oklahoma State, the Klein Collins running back Michael Goodson said due to time constraints, he did not think they would make that trip. And, that he will use the available time to make sure of his decision.

The Lone Star State's No. 1 tailback will make that decision/announcement this Sunday on a local Houston T.V. station but said he's got a pretty good idea which team he'll choose.

"I think I already have my decision," Goodson said. "But I will take my time between now and Sunday to make sure it's the right one for me. I am looking forward to the announcement so I can focus on school and our season."

Today's Thoughts: We're going with our initial projection of it being an A&M-OSU battle. Do not count out USC, they once led, and remained in the hunt after Goodson took visits to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and another visit to Texas A&M. LSU and OU have a shot but do not appear to be in the thick of it.

Stay tuned to Scout.com this Sunday for the news of his decision. Might be one of the leading contenders or it could be a surprise decision. In recruiting, you just never know how it will all turn out, so get the final word here this Sunday.
