WR Excited About A&M

12thFan.com caught up with Smithson Valley WR Cody Beyer for a quick chat. We have that and more, below.

Smithson Valley WR Cody Beyer gave Texas A&M an early commitment, describing it as a "firm" decision.

After an unofficial visit with A&M tight ends/special teams coach Mark Tommerdahl, and watching the Maroon and White game, Beyer made his decision to commit back in May.

"I was just blown away watching the Maroon and White game," Beyer told 12thFan.com. "I was impressed with the passing game, coaching staff and the up and coming QBs for A&M."

With 66 catches, 975 yards, 10 TDs and 1 rush TD, Beyer will be a welcome addition to the receiving corps at A&M. The Smithson Valley senior-to-be made first-team all-district, all-region, all-city and all-area honors.

At 6-1, 174 pounds and having a 330 squat, 220 bench and 235 power clean, not to mention an impressive 3.5 GPA, the Central Texas Region pass-catcher is the complete package of talent and intelligence heading to Texas A&M.

Notes: Beyer hopes to major in Bio Medical Plastic/ Engineering and will be a spring enrollee, looking to get an early start on the Les Koenig system, as well as in the class room.
