One of the earliest commitments from the state of Texas was Houston Cy Falls linebacker Derrick Stephens, who committed to Texas A&M.

This weekend he took a trip to Austin to visit the Longhorns for junior day and things got interesting.

"I went over for the junior day," Stephens said. "I wasn't sure if I was going to go, but I decided to go at the last minute. I had a good time over there."

The 6-foot-3, 209-pound Stephens did say he was still committed to the Aggies, but Aggie fans won't rest easy.

"I am still committed to Texas A&M," Stephens said. "I still love A&M, nothing about that has changed at all. I wouldn't have committed to them so early if I didn't. I won't lie that Texas has given me something to think about."

As a junior Stephens raked in 84 tackles, two sacks, forced five fumbles, recovered two fumbles, had four pass break-ups and one interception.
